a couple more things....

Happy Father's Day, Matt! You are such a great Daddy...just like I knew you would be (one of the many reasons I married you in the first place!). It is truly amazing to see the love our girls have for their Daddy ...and lets face it...you and Raven are 2 peas in a pod. We love you and we're SO blessed to have you!

...and...hazel has been getting bigger by the second! she is now sitting by herself, eating lots of baby food, she loves to sleep (but only in her crib), and she is totally entertained by anything she can hold in her hand. it is so fun to watch her grow and see the sister love!

this weekend.

well, this summer has still been showing us mostly rain...and its cold. i have been daydreaming about moving somewhere warm and sunny and sandy. i think we just need a vacation. anyways, the sun that has been hiding behind the clouds revealed itself a bit this last friday (a total answer to prayer!). raven and i gardened and we all at lunch outside...making the most of the little time we had. we also had a friend from calvin (and lake geneva) play a little concert in our yard! he did a great job and has really great music! listen on his website: http://www.jontroast.com

Party Girl!

We finally had the last of Raven's birthday parties. She'll be talking about birthdays and cupcakes and presents for a long time :) Last weekend we celebrated with her cousins on Matt's side (there are 3 birthdays in 3 weeks, so we combined the party). Raven had a great time playing with her cousins, and we finally had a sunny day. Happy to you, Raven!

summer?

So far this summer has been....annoying. We are teased by a sunny day and then the rain hits for a few days. We are so ready for warmer weather and sunshine so we can play outside and go swimming, and take walks to the park! We have had a couple sunny days in the last couple weeks, and we try to make the most of them.

Daddy pushing the girls on the swings!

First day of swim lessons! Cloudy, a bit cold, but the water was warm and the girls LOVED it!
