found it!
found the camera cord!
last weekend we went down to magnolia village to see the lighting of the Christmas tree. unfortunately it was raining, but we didn't let it stop us...the girls were freezing by the end of the night, but it was a fun night with friends.
Raven and Eliana weren't too sure about this Christmas tree thing in the rain...in the cold...but they perked up when we got cookies and candy later :)
...and this week... we got snow!

snow!
Well, we were dumped with snow yesterday...which is unheard of for Seattle. Its very hilly here, and there are no plows or salt trucks to clear the roads. Living on the corner at the bottom of a fairly steep hill, we witnessed several accidents on the corner here. I don't think anyone was hurt from what we could tell.
Raven has LOVED playing in the snow...and I love that it provides hours of entertainment! I have some pictures, but I can't find the cord to upload them...soooo...pictures will come as soon as I find the cord.
As of now, we are staying warm and cozy in our home.

Halloween ...a little late
I just realized I never posted anything about Halloween. Mom brain has been my excuse lately, so I'll just go with that. Let's see...what did we do... First we went to the community center to decorate pumpkins and play at the carnival in the community center. Raven and her bff were princesses. They pretty much held hands the entire time! Here is a little video...
Later that week we had a fun Halloween lunch at our friends house! There were massive amounts of kids, and a bit of chaos...but it was so fun!
Later that day we went to Magnolia Village to Trick or Treat. They close off the streets and the businesses hand out candy. Tons of people go to this, and it was actually a really warm sunny evening...which is nothing like what it usually is this time of year. Raven changed her clothes about a hundred times that afternoon, so I finally put a flower headband on her and called it good (I found out later that she also had 3 skirts on!) Hazel's costume was an easy little jacket...she was a sweet little butterfly!
Raven and Eliana held hands the whole time!
Hazel and her future boyfriend are in the stroller behind Raven :)

Raven's Bible Verse
We have been working on memorizing Bible verses (for both Raven and myself). I have been amazed at how quickly she can recite this...here is a little video. She whispers part of it, so you might not be able to hear.
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right" Ephesians 6:1

sweet raven
as some of you know, raven has been a bit of a handful these last couple weeks. since she has learned to climb out of her crib, nap time has turned into play time. raven has been unloading every drawer she can get her hands on, jumping into hazel's crib and waking her up, opening child-proof infant tylenol and dumping it all over our bed, opening hand sanitizer and dumping it all over our bed (in the same spot as the tylenol), ...she has completely covered herself in an entire container of vaseline, tried (and failed) to change her own poopy diaper, tried on most of hazel's clothes (her favorite being "hazel's undies" which is just hazel's swimsuit), the list goes on...
today, this is how i found her :)

victoria!
ahhh Victoria! Every time I think of you I hear the angels singing songs of praise! Matt and I had a wonderful 4 day trip (sans little girls) to this wonderful little place in Canada. (The girls had their own adventures with Grandma including 2 birthday parties and playgrounds and lots of fun! Thanks Grandma!)
We walked a lot, rented a scooter...twice, enjoyed a spa day, played darts, ate lots of good food, and drank some yummy local beers...but we mostly just enjoyed each other. no schedules. no timeline. no rushing around. it was so fun, and it was exactly what we needed at this time in our lives.
After four days we were ready to come home to our adorable little girls! We would skype with them every day for about 10-15 min. which was just enough time to see how much fun they were having with Grandma, but we were ready to come home and give hugs and kisses.
Scooters! So much fun...and even more funny after a bug hit Matt on the tooth! hehe!
